What's this all about?

In short, there has been a manufacturing defect in many common HP and Compaq laptops, which HP refuse to repair outside of warranty. The details from this online database will be used to launch a class action lawsuit against Hewlett-Packard which will hopefully see a recall and free-fix of previously "unrepairable" laptops.
